START: Find Dark Elf High Priestess and say Yes
Twist in the Tunnels
This is a short, twisting tunnel. Its floor is so smooth that it causes an
individual to wonder if a body of water rushed through here at some point.
This thought comes to mind because the sound of a rushing river arises from
the north. The acrid scent of smoke comes from the west. It does not smell
like the smoke from a grass or a tree fire, this smell is heavier, and more
disturbing. The cold, damp air of the tunnel causes the smoke to begin to
etch its way into clothes, and also causes a headache to begin to form.
Aside from the annoying scent of smoke, and the abnormally smooth floor, this
tunnel is quite similar in appearance to any of the other tunnels. There are
a couple of interesting geological features in the tunnel that might prove
interesting, one would simply need to investigate them.
The dark elf high priestess whispers, “Well met, my friend.”
The dark elf high priestess bows formally.
The dark elf high priestess whispers, “I am in serious trouble. A number of
my sisters have been imprisoned by cyclopses, and the rest have been taken
by cerejellums.”
The dark elf high priestess furrows her brow.
The dark elf high priestess whispers, “I need help to rescue them.”
The dark elf high priestess peers at you, her eyes pleading.
The dark elf high priestess whispers, “I also need someone to help me take
the city back from the fearsome male dark elves. If you are willing to
help me, please say yes.”
– Say Yes
The dark elf high priestess whispers, “It is not safe to talk.”
The dark elf high priestess glances around nervously.
The dark elf high priestess whispers, “I will need to use the sign language
of the dark elves. I will teach you this language, so that we may communicate
with each other effectively. I warn you, do not say anything as you wander
through the caverns here, for if you are heard, you will be attacked.”
The high priestess begins to instruct you.
The high priestess whispers to you as she moves her hands about fluently and
makes subtle facial expressions, which are just barely visible in the dim
light of the tunnel.
The dark elf high priestess whispers, “Here is how you sign rescue.”
The dark elf high priestess uses an amicable expression and moves her hands
with a flourish.
She continues on, and gradually her lessons become more advanced.
Eventually you are signing back and forth to each other at a
rapid pace.
The dark elf high priestess signs, “…Good. If you are ready to carry
on now, please sign yes…”
** Goal Added : A Dark Elf Dilemma
** Task Added : Help the High Priestess
– Sign Yes
The dark elf high priestess signs, “…Thank you! I suggest that you first
explore the lair of the cyclopses. That should be the simpler part of this
endeavor. The entrance to their lair has been cleverly concealed, but I have
faith that you will experience no difficulty in finding it and rescuing my
sisters…”
The dark elf high priestess smiles at you warmly.
** Task Added : Rescue the Dark Elves from the Cyclopses
– Find Hidden Entrance
A Sharp Corner
In order to enter this passage, a traveler needs to stoop-walk. Close-set
walls create a bit of a tight squeeze to wiggle through, but directly after
this, the ceiling and walls expand away from each other, and walking space
once again becomes abundant. The eastern wall of the cave has initials
inscribed upon it, in what appears to be candle-soot. The letters seem to be
QYV, but it is tough to tell for certain. The western wall seems to be made
up of rock that is far lighter in hue than that of the eastern wall. Since
the rocks here seem slightly different, it might be prudent to
investigate.
– Investigate
The wall seems to shimmer here. It looks like you could walk through it.
– Walk through wall
Cyclops Lair
This is the eastern end of a long and straight tunnel. The cyclopses hollow
out their lairs by using a combination of magic and slave power. The cyclops
possesses the power of disintegration within its eye, a power which happens
to be perfect for hollowing-out an underground passageway. As a result, this
tunnel is almost perfectly cylindrical in shape, and large enough to fit
through a cyclops of who is fifteen feet tall. The rock wall at the eastern
end of this tunnel looks a bit different. It could prove useful to
investigate it.
You notice a shimmer in the wall, and decide to walk through it.
– If a cyclops sees you you’ll be thrown out of the area so just sit when one
looks at you and stand when it’s safe.
A cyclops enchanter stops and carefully scans the upper half of this cavern.
Maybe you should get down low!
– Sit
You sit down.
The cyclops does not see you, it’s safe to continue!
– Stand
An Enchanter’s Room
The walls, ceiling, and floor of this room are lined with smooth, grey
stones; exactly like the corridor to the west. The room is small,
rectangular, and terrifically cluttered. It looks like this room has been set
up for an enchanter. At the center of the room is a tall table, the perfect
height to stand at while creating potions. The wall to the east contains
shelves that have been stuffed full of books and scrolls. The northern wall
is flanked by a counter that has been stocked with empty vials and a myriad
of ingredients in bags, jars, and other strange-looking containers. The
southern wall contains a rack that carries items similar to those upon the
counter to the north. Dozens of candles are being used to keep this room lit.
They don’t seem to be enchanted, since they are dripping wax all over the
table where they have been placed. There are red candles, white candles, and
black candles. The room smells of old parchment, something like vinegar, and
candle wax.
(Magic) A tall table stands in the middle of the room, ready for use.
(Magic) This counter extends its length along the northern wall.
(Magic) A long rack covers the length of the southern wall.
(Magic) This shelf has been built to cover all of the eastern wall.

You get a key from the corpse of the cyclops!
As you put away the key, your body reverts back to its natural form!
– All other Cyclops will now aggro you in pit.
– Examine Key
This key looks like it won’t fit into a lock until it has been fixed; it has
been bent and warped. Fixing the key won’t be an easy task, since the key is
massive.
– Head to city and Make Way to Forge
A Burned-Out Forge
The disastrous city fire did not spare this small forge, but it looks like
the dark elves have been in here recently, possibly even this very day. It
seems that they don’t have time at the moment to tear down the burned-out
building and build from scratch, but they do have need of a forge.
Therefore, they have made this room useful. The hearth that serves as the
forge is happily crackling away in the far right-hand corner, the smoke being
filtered out through a mysterious chimney that must lead to some unused
cavern above the dark elf city. A freshly painted sign stands beside the
forge with useful instructions for novice blacksmiths. Since the room’s walls
are made from stone, the damage to the overall structure of the building has
been minimal. The items inside of it, however, must have been a different
story, since the ones here now all appear to be brand new. A stout square
anvil stands near the hearth, with a hammer leaning against its side. A
trough of clear water sits close to the door. The wall opposite the hearth is
accompanied by a tall wooden table that has an empty weapons rack, bellows,
and pliers sitting on top of it.
(Magic) A wooden table with one drawer stands stoically against the wall.

** Task Done : Rescue the Dark Elves from the Cyclopses
** Task Added : Rescue the Dark Elves from the Cerejellums
– Head to Cerejellum Area and go to Birthingg Chambers
The Birthing Chambers
As strange as the cerejellums are, you haven’t questioned how they reproduce
– until now. A large cerejellum floats in a massive tank, with large tubes
that protrude to other smaller tanks. Within each tank, there’s a smaller
cerejellum, obviously a youngling. The tank seems to be a major source of the
thick air throughout these tunnels.
(Red Aura) The cerejellum leader rests here in a tank of mysterious goo.
A voice booms in your head, ‘WHO GOES THERE?’
The skin on your head crawls and your ears burn and itch as you feel the
cerejellum leader use its power to probe into your mind.
The cerejellum leader’s voice echoes through your mind, ‘…So, I see you are
here to rescue my dark elf prisoners…’
‘…Hmm once these priestesses are set free they endeavor to take their city
back from the male dark elves…’
‘…This could work out in our favor… Yes, the female dark elves will be like
our puppets…’
Ha ha ha ha ha! (The laughter echoes eerily in your mind.)
‘…Let us assist these female dark elves in their espionage of the city. I know
of a weapon that will work well for this plan…’
‘…My spies just recently returned from the land of the surface dwellers.
They have discovered a Tinkers’ Guild in The Grand City of Aylor. The gnomes
there carry the plans that hold the perfect weapon for this adventure…’
‘…You will need to retrieve these plans, then gather the necessary supplies.
Once you return, give everything to my chief dark gnome slave here. Then we
shall release the prisoners and use the weapon to attack the city…’
The chief dark gnome slave bows before you.
– Return to Aylor and head 4s
North of the Grand Plaza (G)
The sounds of the city echo between the buildings that line the sides of
this broad street. Standing here, the oppressive size of the city is fully
evident. The northern sky is dominated by the elegant spires of the Grand
Aylorian Temple, while the southern horizon is punctuated by glimpses of the
Guild towers. A queer building rises up on the eastern side of the street,
though it seems to have developed a slight list to one side. The door to
the building is boarded over and bears a sign reading: “Out of Order!!!!
Decapitation Hazard!! –Tinker’s Guild Safety Committee.” In its place,
a complex series of pulleys operates a bucket that carries visitors up to a
second floor window. Ominous explosions, thuds, and various other sounds of
mass destruction escape the building at random intervals. In an alley
beside the slanting structure, a giant, clockwork machine of some sort
occasionally belches out clouds of smoke and fire. A series of crudely
hammered metal chutes leading down from the upper stories of the structure
rains trash down into the incinerator. A large sign in the alley reads:
“Posted: Hard Hat Zone.”

Tinkers’ Guild: The Grand Exposition!!!
A giant banner has been strategically placed to greet those coming up the
steps from the second floor: “Welcome to the Grand Exposition of INDUSTRY
and SCIENCE!!! Ask About Our Adopt-an-Inventor Program!!! –Tinkers’ Guild
Exposition Committee.” Proud inventors stand next to their displays to show
them off and answer questions from the visitors. The exhibits have been
grouped according to category, and several sport ribbons denoting them as
prize winners. The subtle tilt of the building is more noticeable in the
upper stories. Walking here actually takes concentration not to lose
balance or go sliding across the showroom floor (which the Gnomes have seen
fit to wax to a high shine. Anything to impress the public!). Each
display stand has been engineered with a fantastically advanced gyroscopic
counterweight to keep the exhibits from tipping over. A ladder at the back
of the room leads up through a trapdoor to the top level of the Guild. A
sign posted by the ladder reads: “DANGER: Senior Guild Members Only!!!”
– Kill Gnome
You’ve found the brand new x-89q kakorrhaphiophobic super blazebomb plans!
You get x-89q kakorrhaphiophobic super blazebomb plans from the perforated
corpse of an exhibiting gnome.
– Examine plans
These plans include a detailed list of what items to gather in order to
create this bomb.
– Read list
This list shows the items that must be collected in order to create this
bomb. Look at each item in order to read each one’s more detailed
instructions on how to obtain it:
1. a giant dynamite bat
2. a fire elemental
3. a cobweb
4. explosive gas
– Look Giant
Obtaining a giant dynamite bat — The giant dynamite bat must be alive.
Since giant dynamite bats are extremely dangerous, it is recommended that you
first attack the bat with a dark elf’s crossbow bolt. The dark elves use a
specific type of paralytic poison with a really short shelf life that will
put the giant dynamite bat to sleep for a certain duration.
– Look Fire
Obtaining a fire elemental — Where there is fire, you will find a fire
elemental. Just look where the flames are at their hottest in order to find
one. A fire elemental is usually quite willing to cooperate, just ask for its
help and most likely you will get it.
– Look Cobweb
Obtaining a colossal spider’s cobweb — Seek out a colossal spider for its
cobweb.
– Look Gas
Obtaining explosive gas — In order to obtain explosive gas, first buy an
empty vial from Aeleron’s Alchemy Supplies. Next, you will need to do some
investigating in the caverns around the dark elf city in order to find this
gas and fill the vial.
– DYNAMITE BAT (Expires in 50 seconds)

his level of concentration is high. He wears an outfit of soft black leather
that covers his entire body, and a hooded cowl, to block out anything that
could break his concentration. His red eyes study his environment with the
intensity of a professional hunter.

[ Primary Weapon ]: (Magic) a bolt and crossbow
– Kill Elf
You get a bolt and crossbow from the perforated corpse of a dark elf archer.
– Head to the outskirts and Find a Giant Dynamite Bat
A Deep Gorge
This must be the deepest gorge in the area. The tunnel to the south continues
onward at this deep level, and the tunnel to the west continues upward,
possibly the better way to travel if seeking the solace of the land of the
surface dwellers. The darkness here is so thick that it would be impossible
to continue on without a light source or night vision. This gorge is used as
a main route for travel, so the handholds and footholds along its walls are
carefully maintained, and worn down from centuries of regular use. Upon
noting some of the unusual geological formations in this area, an individual
may take great interest, and stop to investigate.
– Wield Crossbow
– Kill Bat
The bat falls asleep and you carefully place it in your inventory.
– FIRE ELEMENTAL

bugs for one of my cobwebs. Bow to me once you have collected the eight bugs
and you are ready to receive your cobweb.’
– A big, juicy bug crawls out from the shadows.
– Kill bugs until you have 8
You get a juicy bug from the torn and twisted corpse of a big, juicy bug.

Aeleron’s Alchemy Supplies (G)
This small stand is surrounded by an average sized fence, which has
only three openings to let customers into the shop. The small fence
contains a vast number of cauldrons boiling and bubbling with liquids of
reds, blues, magentas, and greens. Many signs sit everywhere, saying,
“Do not touch!”, “Leave it alone!”, and “Hands to Yourself!”.
A small, old gnome stands on a step stool, busily pouring a bubbling gel
into a small flask.
an attempt to bottle ‘immolation’ goes awry.
– Buy empty
You buy an empty vial from Aeleron for 200 gold.
– Return to Uprising and investigate rooms
A Swift Underground River
A river crashes through this cavern. An extensive bridge has been built so
that traveling over it by foot is possible. It is a simple wooden bridge,
built wide enough for only one individual to travel across at a time, and it
is quite rickety. The water rushing by underneath is inky black and smells
strongly of sulfur. The river makes this the noisiest part of this
subterranean world, where the creatures are so quiet, a traveler can lull
themselves into a false sense of security. But an individual must always be
on the alert, for the creatures here are long-practiced in the art of a
silent hunt. There are some interesting geological formations around this
river, it may be useful to investigate them.
– Investigate
You discover a strange smell emanating from a crevice in the floor. You
capture some of the explosive gas in your vial and cork it!
– Get Bat Last (Expires)
– Return to Birthing Chambers

The chief dark gnome slave takes the bomb-related items from you and begins to
study the plans.
The cerejellum leader’s voice echoes through your mind, ‘…Excellent. Now,
while we create this bomb, please gather twelve dark elf weapons for the
priestesses to use. Once that is done, return here and by then we should
have the bomb ready…’
** Task Done : Rescue the Dark Elves from the Cerejellums
** Task Added : Gather Twelve Dark Elf Weapons for the Priestesses
– Head back to Uprising area and kill DarkElves
– Kill Elf
You gather up the necessary weapon. A cerejellum sage appears and summons
the weapon to itself.
You gather up the final necessary weapon. A cerejellum sage appears and summons
the weapon to itself. Time to return to the cerejellum leader!
– Return to Birthing Chamber
The Birthing Chambers

(Red Aura) The cerejellum leader rests here in a tank of mysterious goo.
The cerejellum leader’s voice echoes through your mind, ‘…Now take the bomb
that is given to you and plant bomb on the pulpit of the church. We have
extra supplies, so if your first attempt is not successful, you can come back
and get another bomb. The dark elf priestesses will try to keep the male
elves occupied while you complete your task…’
One by one the dark elf priestesses appear in the room, each with one of the
weapons you obtained for them. Silently, they file out of the room, with the
dark elf high priestess last to pass through the chamber.
You receive a blazebomb from the chief dark gnome slave.
** Task Done : Gather Twelve Dark Elf Weapons for the Priestesses
– Blazebomb is timed so need to move fast
– Head to Pulpit in City
At the Pulpit
The center of the dais features a statue honoring the Dark Lady. Since the
Dark Lady does not like to hear her name spoken by mortals, or for them to
depict her in her true form, the dark elves have created a sculpture of her
as she likes to appear to mortals when she is feeling especially mischievous.
At these times the Dark Lady enjoys taking on the form of a grotesque-looking
monster, and subsequently scaring all of those who have been disloyal to her.
This is a monster with nothing more than an elven skull for a head, an undead
dragon’s body and wings, and a gigantic scorpion tail, complete with a
venomous stinger. This statue is at least fifteen feet tall, and has been
created from white marble; in stark contrast with its dark surroundings, and
therefore the focal point of the room.
(Red Aura) The demigoddess Erwinashina lounges here, carefree.
– Plant bomb
Oolitheph looks at you ponderingly.
You successfully plant the bomb on the pulpit!
You race out of the city as fast as you can!
Approaching the City
The tunnel here has been cut into the shape of an arch. The walls, ceiling,
and floor, have been lined with flat black stones that glimmer when a
traveler’s dim light source chances upon them. The view to the east makes it
obvious that the dark elf city has been hit with disaster. The gates no
longer stand tall, but have been blown apart, and their remnants have become
strewn haphazardly around the area. Every so often, a shadowy form darts out
into the rubble, and then retreats back into the city. The scent of smoke is
so strong here that breathing becomes harsh and difficult.
Time to find the high priestess and celebrate with her!
– Return to Dark Elf Priestess
The dark elf high priestess hugs you.
The dark elf high priestess signs, “…Thank you, my dear friend! We are
so happy for your help that our goddess, the Dark Lady, is willing to give you
a reward. When you are ready to go and visit her, simply find me and nod to
me. Then I will call upon the higher powers to transport you…”
– Nod Elf
You nod at the dark elf high priestess.
The dark elf high priestess smiles at you, then closes her eyes…
In the Dark Lady’s Realm
What you are now standing on appears to be a gigantic slab of black marble
that is floating in the middle of black space. This stone surface continues
onward to the north, but drops off sharply to the south. There isn’t a hint
of ground below the drop-off, so jumping off the edge would be a bad idea.
To the north, there is a wisp of a dark figure standing at what must be a
tall, white throne. Any other direction just leads to an edge of the marble
slab, so the only sensible way to travel is to the north. But if that figure
is the Dark Lady, how will she treat you when you meet her? She must have
been the one who summoned you here, so you’d better take a deep breath, and
move to meet her.
– North
In the Dark Lady’s Realm
This is where the Dark Lady spends much of her time. The Dark Lady’s realm is
nothing more than a huge slab of marble suspended somewhere in endless, black
space. The marble floor does have a visible edge to it, only noticeable since
magical red spheres of light are highlighting this fact. An individual
wouldn’t want to step off of the marble floor’s edge, since it appears as if
nothing exists below. It is quite possible that jumping off the edge would
lead to an endless freefall for all eternity. There is ample walking room,
at any rate, at least a hundred feet in every direction. In front of you
stands a massive, white throne. The throne is the only point of interest upon
this slab of black marble. Three white stone steps lead up to the massive
stone chair. The Dark Lady stands proudly at the top of these stairs.
You genuflect to the Dark Lady in reverence.
The Dark Lady says, “Greetings, Lizza! I have the perfect reward for
someone so strong of spirit as yourself.”
The Dark Lady says, “Thank you so much for helping those who worship me. I
shall give you an optional task. If you complete this task, then you may
give the high priestess a nod in order to return to me. The dark elves
have stolen and concealed hundreds of my amulets. Return to me with just
five of these amulets, and I will give you something you may treasure.”
** Task Done : Help the High Priestess
** Goal Completed: A Dark Elf Dilemma
REWARD: You receive 25 quest points.
INFO: Lizza has earned the favor of the Dark Lady.

Lem-dagor and Prosper 1 & 2
Aardwolf Storm Ships of Lem-dagor / Prosper’s Island Goal Guide
Total Rewards for all goals:
– Portals to difficult-to-access parts of Prosper
– Easier to kill Sycorax
.
It’s complicated, since there are a few goals, and rewards are intertwined.
Please check the full guide to see the details on how these rewards work.
.
Storm Ships of Lem-Dagor Goal
.
Reward for this goal:
F.I.L. Sailor’s Knot, which becomes useful only
after completing the main Prosper goal.
If you lose it, return to Security Officer and give him 15000 gold
for a replacement.
.
run e2swe to reach Security Officer on weapons detail.
On entering the room, he should talk to you.
Say ‘yes’ to start the goal.
‘tasks here’ shows the type and number of mobs to be killed.
Walk around the battle-mode Lemdagor, killing mobs as required
to complete the tasks, then return to Security Officer
to complete the goal.
.
Prosper’s Island Main Goal
.
Rewards for this goal:
Gives a special property to F.I.L. Sailor’s Knot from the Lemdagor goal.
If you wear the knot and attack Sycorax, her healing spells will be disrupted
as if you were carrying the 4 energy balls.
The knot is easier to re-obtain than the balls, thus it is more convenient.
The rewards for both Lemdagor and main Prosper goal are useless
unless you get both rewards.
.
Note: Many mobs here are immune to magic damtypes.
Get a weapon with a physical damtype, use no weapons (hand-to-hand),
or use the Talon spell (pierce damtype)
.
Be vis.
From the starting room of Lem-dagor (room name is The Storm Cruiser, Tempest),
run e2swe3nwu3e;enter portal;run enes to reach Humbert in A Private Room.
On entering the room, Humbert should talk to you.
Say ‘accept’ to start the goal.
.
run 2nw to reach the engineer in The Wind Turbine Room.
Kill the engineer, you will be blasted out of the room.
Return west, ‘get key remains’ to get the generator key, then ‘open generator’
and ‘get ball generator’ to get a wind energy ball.
.
run esu to Surrounded by Thick Mist. You have entered a mini maze.
Look for a room with the following description:
.
You are in a dark part of the ship. South of here, you see a thick
white cloud of mist, impossible for you to look through. Up from you, you
hear screaming like you have never heard before. No physical torture would
ever achieve this scream. You wonder what has happened’
.
When in this room, run us to reach aggro Calabus in Calabus’ Post.
Finish killing Calabus to loot the key to the brig.
(Calabus might bring in a minion, which you can kill.)
open west;west to reach the group of prisoners in The Brig.
.
‘beckon prisoners’ to get them to follow you.
open e;e;open n;run nd to return to the mini-maze,
walk to the room with the down exit (Surrounded by Thick Mist),
then run dwsw to The Sea Witch (G). Upon entering the room,
the prisoners should take your key and give you
a prisoner chain ball before leaving.
.
run euwn;open d;d to reach Sea Monster in The Cage of the Sea Monster.
Kill the Sea Monster. It might revive afterwards as if it wsn’t killed.
Just keep killing it. It can revive many times before it finally dies
and gives you a black ball of organic matter.
.
open u;run usun to the hallway that ‘seems to continue forever’
(as per the room description).
Keep going north until the room finally lets you reach the north room
with ‘Down leads to a relatively busy place’ in its room desc.
.
run 2d to reach The spellbound worker in Energy Storage Area.
Kill the spellbound worker, then
open secondary;get pure secondary;open primary;get ball primary
to obtain a pulsating energy ball.
(Note: pure energy from secondary tank is NOT one of the Sycorax balls!
Pulsating energy ball is.)
.
run 2ue;open d;run ds to reach The witch Sycorax in The Chamber of the Witch.
Check that you have these 4 balls in your inventory (not bag):
wind energy ball,
prisoner’s chain ball,
black organic matter ball, and
pulsating energy ball.
.
If you attack Sycorax without all 4 balls, you cannot flee from her,
only retreat. If you don’t have retreat skill practiced,
you will have to ask for another player to give you the balls.
Without the balls, Sycorax will keep healing herself up.
.
Kill Sycorax. She will drop some Sycorax’s breast plates.
Get them off the ground.
.
run n;enter circle;run e2swe3nwu3e;enter portal;run enes to
return to Humbert. Be vis and and give the breast plate to him
to recieve Humbert’s undying gratitude, and complete the goal.
.
”’

attack you. If that happens, ‘get crystal cabinet’, ‘open north’ then flee.)
.
run ne2ses2eu to Standing on a Dune, where the black raven is.
‘open nest;get egg nest;give egg black’ to open the nest
(black raven attacks you, no worries), get the egg from the nest,
and return the egg to the black raven. She will stop attacking you,
and give you the turbine capacitor.
.
run d2ws to Southwest of ‘The Sea Witch’, and ‘get carrot hole’.
Be vis, then hunt rabbit (or walk around the ring of rooms)
till you find a little rabbit.
On entering the room, the rabbit should eat your carrot.

.
Check your inventory for the following items:

– portal to Council section of Prosper’s Island,
which otherwise requires a speedwalk and killing of a mob.
.
Storm Ship in a Bottle
– portal to starting room of Lem-dagor
which otherwise requires a long speedwalk considering that

.
run 2s;open u;run uen3eue;enter circle;run e2swe3nwue2n2e
to the north-east corner of the Navigation System, battle mode.
You should find Neleat and Taelen (you can hunt either of them, too).
Give a pleasure ball to Taelen to recieve the Gold-Plated Silhouette Brooch.
Give a pleasure ball to Neleat to recieve the Storm Ship in a Bottle.
.
”’-
Obtaining the Unowned Share Ownership
.
From Outside the Sea Witch,
run wd3wnw3ne2nwne to In Casino ‘Royale’.
‘buy chip;give chip croupier’ to buy a royale casino chip,
and then give the chip to the roulette croupier.
The croupier will give some gold to either you or the chip seller.
Repeat ‘buy chip;give chip croupier’ until you randomly win
the unowned Share Ownership of Hotel Royale.
You can easily burn millions of gold to get the portal,
so bring lots of money and be prepared to spam the command.
If you want the portal for personal use only,
it might be better to do the Prosper2 goal described previously.

The Caldera of Mauldoon was formed during a battle between two
ancient wizards. Their spells hurled magma from the volcano in
blazing fireballs across the sky. They summoned fire demons and ice
creatures to do battle. In the end with a final blast of magic, they
covered the caldera in a final blast of ice. Their battle had lasted for
years and left behind a great frozen wasteland, leaving behind creatures
of fire and ice.
For centuries, the great working of ice magic had been restrained
from spreading its icy fingers beyond the caldera. But now, the balance
is weakening before the ever-growing might of Flame. The situation has
grown so dire that some of the nearby villagers have taken it upon
themselves to appease their god by sacrificing innocents to the Ice Lord,
the personified essence of the great spell. For in their fear and
desperation, there are no depths to which they are unwilling to sink.
In the shadow of a conflict about to violently erupt, you must try
to negotiate a peace between two factions that have been warring for
countless years lest the entire region devolve into elemental anarchy.

Such a storm is no mean thing to brave. And yet, along a pathway carved into
the side of the volcano wends a band of beleaguered humans. Figures in
white are being heartlessly shoved up the trail by serious men bearing
serious scowls. Their purpose isn’t immediately clear, but the same can’t
be said of their intentions which are obviously cruel.
Perhaps it would be wise to simply walk on and ignore the strange powers at
play here. But should you wish to investigate further, type ‘accept.’

Caldera : Bring peace to the Icy Caldera
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Task 1 : Discover why innocents are being sacrificed.
Some rough-looking men are leading sacrifices up the side of the volcano.
Perhaps they know something about the tragedy here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2. Find a thug (in the same room as task 1) and say sacrifice.
say sacrifice
You say ‘sacrifice’
The thug hisses at the mere mention of the sacrifices he’s forcing up the
volcano. ‘Are you tryin’ to get me killed? Keep your bloody voice down.
And bloody well get behind me so you don’t call anymore attention to
yourself.’
The thug grunts and, after a quick look round to make sure only the victims
are within earshot, leans into you. ‘Fine. Look, time was, it weren’t like
this. The village elders? They say all them scrolls they got, dating back
to the early times, talk ’bout how the Fire used to be quiet, trapped under
the ice.’
The thug spits and takes another belligerant look round before continuing.
‘But now it ain’t like that. The fire’s stirring. We hear it all the time,
rumblin’ and growlin’, like it’s angry, like its alive. You have that
hangin’ over your head every livin’ night and tell me that it wouldn’t mess
with you none. It do me, that’s for damn sure. So, me? I aint’ got no
problem with what we do here. If the mountain angry, we feed the mountain.’
A grisly thug says, “But if you wan’ go and stick your nose in, well, then
be my guest. Go have a chat with one of the priests at the top of this
climb. Yeah, you do that and see what they tell you.”
The thug grins wickedly and waves you off with a hand scarred by a hundred
little battles.

3. Find an evil priest and listen priest.
listen priest
As you approach one of the wicked priests, he turns and fixes upon you a
look of such soulless devotion to his cause that it becomes instantly clear
dissuading him from his evil designs will be impossible. Still, at the
prospect of a fresh sacrifice, his mouth slowly widens in some twisted
notion of welcome as he nods you close. ‘You want to know about our purpose
here. Gladly will I tell you of our god, lord of ice and snow.’
The priest’s voice is rich, possessing the lyricism of a man who has spent
his life convincing people to do as he wishes. ‘Centuries ago, the fire
demons that inhabit this volcano, that sully it, and us, with their mere
presence, ran unchecked through these lands, defiling all that they touched
and leaving behind but the scorched remnants of innocents.’
The priest smiles creepily. ‘But then did our ancestors set upon a great
design, to appeal to the Ice Lord, who also dwells here, for aid in this,
our greatest time of need. In his beneficent shadow did they come to
understand his glory and his power, to leech the heat from the infernal
flames and freeze those wretched demons in the hell they so richly deserve.’
An evil priest boggles, “For a time, all of us in the lands below lived in
freedom and harmony, basking in the power of our god and savior, for, his
mighty arm had smote the demons and banished them to their well-deserved
prison. But then, slowly, ignorance crept in, ignorance of HIS might,
ignorance of HIS power! And what befell us then?!”
The priest is in your face now, the spittle from his screams impacting upon
your cheeks. ‘Our god turned away from us! He saw how we had strayed from
his cold light and he left us to fend for ourselves! He said to us, ‘look
at what you have wrought! You have gone from my light! Look at what you
have wrought!’
The priest slowly calms, though, the fervent light never leaves his burning
eyes. ‘He is might. He is glory. He is beauty. And it is to him that we
pay this homage. It is he whose trust and faith we must win back.’ He turns
and nods at the sacrifices who, even now, one by one, are being hurled to
their deaths below. ‘It is he whose love we must earn.’
The priest turns back to you, that smile creepier than ever. ‘Do you wish to
meet our god?’

Task 3 : Learn the other side of the story.
Perhaps one of the mystical flames that calls this caldera home will have
its own story to tell.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4. Find a wrathful flame, listen wrathful, and say I will aid you.
listen wrathful
As you approach the wrathful flame while it eagerly, but futilely, tries to
burn its way through the ice, it momentarily ceases its wild raging to focus
its attention on you. Initially leery of a being not of its own kin, it
draws itself high, trying to look menacing before, realizing you intend to
talk, it warily subsides, the ice around it creaking in eternal protest.
‘Aid me or flee me. The choice be yours,’ the being of fire greets you with
a roar.
say I will aid you
You say ‘I will aid you’
As you explain your purpose here, and what you’ve so-far learned from the
human residents in the shadow of the volcano, antagonism gives way to a kind
of thoughtful weariness.
‘This is what they say to you? That I am demon? That my kind be demons?!’
Even through the roars of the flame’s speech, you can hear its exasperated
incredulity. ‘If you believe, then you be no less fools than they be. We
here first! WE here first! Not they. WE! We live in caldera for
eternities, eternities! Then they come. They say this be their land, their
land! They say we burn too bright. They say we be bad for their village.
They gather for great spellcasting, great spellcasting which give power to
Ice Lord. Ice Lord cover our home in freezings, freezings!’ Even now, after
all these centuries, the flame’s anger burns as brightly as he does.
‘Look,’ the flame points at the ice-covered caldera around you, the ice
creatures playing while the flames struggle. ‘You think we be demons? You
think we be bad? We be no bad. They be bad. You ask ice man. He tell
you. This be done to us by him! He tell you, or he be liar.’
Task 4 : Does ice agree?
Now that you’ve learned Flame’s side of the story, do the icy powers that be
agree with this version of events?
If not, perhaps the Ice Lord should be made aware that he cannot
win this war.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5. Find the ice lord, say wrathful flame, and say you cannot win this war.
High upon his icy throne, the corporeal essence of an ancient spell gazes
down at you haughtily, his mien a study in unconcern. He possesses the
confidence of a creature in his element and shows no signs of worry that it
may well be crumbling around him. For even here, in the heart of his
fortress, the rumbling roar of discontented flame can be heard, causing this
ancient cavern to groan periodically.
‘State your purpose and be gone from here,’ the Ice Lord rasps.
say wrathful flame
You say ‘wrathful flame’
When you relay all that you have learned, from the villagers who, in their
desperation, have succumbed to the practice of human sacrifice, to the
claims of Flame, that they are native here, the ice lord rises gracefully
from his throne, the better to glower down at you and sneer, ‘they are both
fools.’
‘Yes, I was brought into this world by an ancient spell, one crafted by the
magi who once abided in the village from which the sacrifices come. It was
their ancient magic that gave me form and empowered me to defeat the fires
that once raged within this volcano. Did Flame tell you that its brothers
and sisters regularly boiled forth from the caldera, to threaten the lands
beyond? Of course not. For Flame can only think of itself! It knows
nothing of compromise, of decency.’
‘Flame was beyond reason, beyond control. I was required to instill
discipline. And that is what I did for a time. At the command of the magi,
I contained the threat Flame posed. And, for awhile, there was peace. But
now the humans who made me are gone, having yielded to the rigors of time.
And their wisdom has fled with them, to be replaced by the fools who cast
their own kin down at me, as though this aids me in any way.’
The Ice Lord shakes his head angrily as the cavern lets out another groan.
‘The great spell weakens. With no one to reinforce it, soon, the fires
will rage again. Through no fault of my own, I have failed. But I will not
allow myself to be brought low before Flame. Even if it requires my last
breath, I will freeze every last one of them in sheets of my essence. I
will win! Pride demands nothing less.’
say you cannot win this war
You say ‘you cannot win this war’
The Ice Lord roars in fury, launching himself down from his dais and to you
in two mighty strides. His frozen fists crackle alarmingly as he lifts them
to strike you down for your impertinence. But at the last minute, he
hesitates, his frozen expression the very definition of frustration.
‘I loathe you with every fiber of my being for speaking such words to me. I
want to tear you limb from limb, ally of Flame, and, slowly, before you die,
make you understand just how wrong you are. But I cannot. Not only would
it be a waste of my remaining energy, but…’ and at this, the mighty lord
grinds his teeth. ‘You are right. I cannot win. I cannot win.’
He turns his broad back to you, attempting to regain his haughty composure,
but something has shifted now, something fundamental, something that cannot
be undone.
‘And what would you have me do,’ the Ice Lord turns back to face you.
‘Bargain with them?’ Spitting the word at you as though it were fiery
poison. No. I cannot do that. Flame is chaos. Flame must be tamed. No.
It is too much. I’d rather die in victory then bend my knee and live.
Go tell your Flamemasters this. Tell them this is my word. They shall not
win.’
But it’s a disconsolate Ice Lord that returns to his throne to contemplate
the waning of his power.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6. Go back to a wrathful flame and say
say the ice lord says you shall not win
You say ‘the ice lord says you shall not win’
As you lay out your conversation with the Ice Lord, the flame swirls in
agitation, interrupting you several times to re-state his case. ‘We native
here, WE!’ but eventually, he calms enough to contemplate the caldera and
the diametrically opposed forces that have strained and died contesting it
for all these centuries.
‘He know he dying?’ This surprises the flame. ‘Thought him too stupid to see
it. Well, good. He be a lonely king on his lonely throne, that we devour,
that we consume. And why not?! Why not consume?! Know you how many of WE
who have died to Ice? Know you how many?! My brothers, mine! To his…
Mindless pets,’ indicating the various ice spirits that run around this
place. ‘Treating us like park, like playland when this is death ground for
us, burial ground. Sacred…’
‘He not like us at all,’ the flame realizes. ‘He willing to kill him all,
kill all his pets, for pride. We fighting for freedom! We should keep
fighting for freedom.’
But as you relay the Ice Lord’s determination, the flame’s eagerness wanes
and he shrinks upon himself in contemplation. ‘will consult with brothers.
But ask Ice Man if he knows how many he killed? Ask him if he be ready to
speak words that don’t mean destroy? Ask him if he be ready to say we
native here. You ask Ice Man and then we see.’
7. Go back to the ice lord and say do you know how many have died in this war.
say do you know how many have died in this war
You say ‘do you know how many have died in this war’
The Ice Lord eyes you balefully, having clearly expected never to see you
again. But when you relay Flame’s message to him, he can only smile coldly.
‘Do I know how many I’ve killed… Tell me, does a spider know how many bugs
it has captured? Does the ocean know how many droplets of water it
contains? I have killed more than I could ever count, not that I have ever
cared to number them. Flame is Flame.’
‘Besides,’ he continues, ‘I have just as much right to ask this question of
Flame. Does it know what oblivion awaits me when the great spell expires?’
He leans forward, hard elbows on harder knees as he considers you. ‘I have
existed for centuries. I have seen more sunrises than some have seen faces.
But when I end, I end. All of what I was ends with me. This is not true of
Flame. It is native here. It abides here. I can no more extinguish it
than I could the sun. My task is to contain it, not to destroy it, a task
that was imposed on me, may I remind you.’
‘So, you tell me, adventurer, what is justice? I stand to lose my existence.
Flame stands to lose its freedom. With the scales so balanced, is Flame’s
loss not worth my survival? You go back to Flame and ask him that. You do
that and see what your flamemasters say. They will revel in it. They will
rejoice in it. See then, in the light, the morality of those you’ve chosen
to align yourself with.’
The Ice Lord turns away from you. Your audience is at an end.
The flame arches up when he sees you approach. ‘We see you! We see you be
comings and goings. We see you go to Ice Lord. What did he say?’ It seems
almost eager.
say is the flame’s loss not worth the ice lord’s survival?
You ask ‘is the flame’s loss not worth the ice lord’s survival?’
At the news that the Ice Lord stands to be wiped from existence, the flame
is thoughtful. ‘Don’t be thinking of such things,’ it confesses solemnly.
‘Think of him as wickedness, as enemy, not as fighting for same reason we
do. Change things. Change things, it do.’ But then the flame seems to
glower. ‘but he say nothing on fallen brothers, do he? He say nothing on
that. See it in your eyes. He say nothing of dead brothers. He not
changed. Care only about himself!’
But after a moment’s pause, the flame reconsiders. ‘Tell Ice Man we speak on
things. Tell him I come to him. Tell him we talk on these things. Tell
him… Maybe peace come to this place if he can say nice words.’
say the flame wants to meet
You say ‘the flame wants to meet’
The Ice Lord’s eyes, the hue of depthless blue lakes, blink bemusedly at you
as you report your triumph, of sorts. ‘Flame wishes to talk, here?’ He
cannot hide his astonishment. ‘After all this time…’
‘So convinced was I that this day would never come that I hardly feel
prepared for it. Flame, coming to parlay…’ A slow shake of his massive
head… ‘Well, then they shall come!’ The Ice Lord rises to his full
height, looking like nothing short of a king before his mighty throne.
‘they shall come and I shall greet them. Perhaps the spell will last.
Perhaps… Peace? Shall be found?’ His rueful smile is something to
behold.
Moments later, the delegation from Fire is wending its way through the
cavern to the Ice Lord’s throne. ‘Spirits, yield to Flame,’ the Ice Lord
declares magnanimously, finding his own kind of triumph in Flame coming to
him, in his place of power.
An orange flame flows into the room.
been negotiating with all this time.
‘There has,’ the Ice Lord agrees.
‘No simple thing this,’ the Flame continues. ‘You oblivion, we chains.’
‘What do you propose,’ the Ice Lord asks.
‘We propose?’ The Flame makes a show of considering this before he flares to
full brilliance, his light flood the chamber. ‘We propose killing you!’ He
roars and hurls himself at the ceiling, melting away the ice there!
Your force shield shimmers then fades away.
The cavern screams as more of the flames pour through the opening in the
ceiling!
a blue flame pours through the ceiling!
a blue flame pours through the ceiling!
As the battle unfolds, one of the flames seizes you up in his heat and
ushers you from the chamber, discharging you in the caldera, where you can
only faintly hear the Ice Lord screaming commands and Flame roaring in
response. ‘As thank you for what you’ve done,’ the flame smiles, referring
to having flown you from the war. ‘Peace was dream. Victory is life.’ And
with that, the flame streaks back to the battle, leaving you in the snow,
wiser but in the midst of a war that will never end.
