Handy List of Tools and links for newbies
This is meant as a guide to the most commonly used items and some helpful links to make your experience on aardwolf most efficient and fun.
MUSH CLIENT
The most important tool to make your experience as efficient is the Mush Client. It features many tools specifically designed for use with aardwolf and the mapper ( after you explore the areas) will make you super efficient. Combined with S&D and Dinv the experience is life changing
Download here: https://github.com/fiendish/aardwolfclientpackage/releases/download/r2017/Aardwolf_MUSHclient_r2017.exe
Cexit and other useful mapper commands:
https://aardwolfboot.com/forums/topic/the-cexit-and-you-and-also-useful-mapper-commands/
Pwars S&D and plugin manager – With a properly explored map this will automate most basic quests and cps ( especially to level 100 or so). This is how people win GQ in just a few minutes.
Download here: https://github.com/hudmond/ppm/raw/master/Pwars_Plugin_Manager_v1.33.zip
Install instructions: unzip the file directly into your root mushclient folder (the one where mushclient.exe exists). Then in MUSHclient, press Ctrl+Shift+P and click Add, browse to your mushclient/worlds/plugins folder and load Pwars_Plugin_Manager.xml. Now simply type ppm and choose to install which plugins you like.
DINV – Great plugin to manage / track and organize your eq, weapons, consumables and portals.
Download here: https://github.com/Aardurel/aard-plugins
Basic Guide: https://aardwolfboot.com/forums/topic/dinv-plugin-usage-guide/
Helpful Links – These are the links that people commonly ask for on question channel:
Searchable database of Mobs or room names: http://rooms.gaardian.com/index.php
Searchable list of area maps: https://aardwolfboot.com/maps/
List of all eqsearch items – helpful for mob names if not clan EQ: http://www.aardwolf.com/wiki/index.php/Item/GamePlay
If you are stuck ( you probably just think you are) make sure you try all the basics: Try to recall, try to portal, type exits and see if there is a custom exit). Try to move in all directions and check the map for the area you are in above. If all of these fail ask on clan channel and someone will answer / help.
Also remember there are plenty of help resources on aard.
“help-newbieaard” for help on which items to buy from questor
“help wish” for info on wishes
“help trivia points” for info on how to spend the trivia points you have.
I hope this helps make your mudding easier. There is a LOT to learn on aard and this is just a stepping stone.
Thanks,
Kazm

The poor man’s portals
In this guide I present a way of faster movement between areas.
The most convenient and effective way to travel is by the use of portals. They are usually given by completing goals/area quests, killing some mobs or buying them via auctions. Not every area has a corresponding portal though. An option is to buy a trivia portal (15 tp – help trivia portal), but the cost is very prohibitive.
Another way for speeding up exploration is by using special exits: clan exits. For example, from Boot room “On the roof” there are easy transfers to areas like Kul Tiras or House of Cards.
Finally, the main point of this guide is to use above methods to find better speedwalks than running from Aylor recall.
Some examples:
To get to Kobold siege you would need to travel 2-3 continents and it would take a very long time. Instead, you can use you portal to Planes, go to Swordbreakers Hoard and from there run 2w6ne.
Another example is Weather Observatory – instead running from the recall you can use Aardwolf Amulet to run ~30 rooms (instead of ~90).
They are not the most optimal/the best routes to areas, use them as a reference only.
There are many others consecrations that would affect this list, like tier of the player or owned portals. Some links between areas, like the one between Aardington Estate and Hedgehogs Paradise, are also not included, because they are situational.
Usage:
I use Kobold Siege mentioned above. Open the file and find a row for Kobold Siege area (row 124)
80 100 Stutz Xadyen Kobold Siege Camp Hoard → 2w6ne
“Hoard” is in blue because this area requires using another portal/speedwalk and then to run 2w6ne.
Row 46 for Hoard shows:
5 50 Aardwolf Commun Swordbreaker’s Hoard Planes → 9e → enter pool
Hoard
Again we have to use another portal/speedwalk shown in blue + run 9e + type “enter pool”. “Hoard” is in red here because this defines speedwalk name for this area.
To find out speedwalk for planes we simply find this row (109):
60 100 50 Valkur The Upper Planes Planes
Here we have only “Planes” in red – this indicate portal – Amulet of the Planes in this case.
*** BONUS for Mudlet users ***
Here are some examples how I have set above aliases:
1) Alias for portals
Name: The Grand City of Aylor
Pattern: ^aylor$
send("take 'garbage can' \"" ..portalbag.. "\"")
send("wear 'garbage can'")
send("enter")
send("remove 'garbage can'")
send("put 'garbage can' \"" ..portalbag.. "\"")
“portalbag” is my variable used for Aardbag, you should replace it with the keywords with your bag or if you keep portals in the inventory use this code:
send("wear 'garbage can'")
send("enter")
send("remove 'garbage can'")
2) Alias for speedwalk
Name: The Darkside of the Fractured
Pattern: ^darkside$
expandAlias("fractu")
send("run 2n")
send("enter jet")
send("n")

Brendinius’ short guide for stuff I wished I had known earlier.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
This is an important thing, we all have been where you were, so if you got a question at least someone in the game will have an answer.
The same thing is to be said about seeking help for a corpse retrieval, don’t be afraid to ask for a CR on a forum.
Stats
Stats can be a bit much sometimes, I’ll try to be pretty concise about this.
The first class you choose to play is your pclass (primary class), help “class” will show you which stats are the most important for you.
A good starting point is to train all your stats until you need 2 trains per stat, then mostly focusing on your class’s important stats is certainly no bad idea.
To see what each stat does “help stats” does the trick perfectly!
editor’s note also check help newbie-stats
Portals
Portals are quite great, they let you travel to a certain area without movement points or your runto time being used, they are especially handy for Global Quests.
Here’s a handy link to where you can find most of the portals:https://aardwolfboot.com/portals-list/
When you get your hands on a portal make sure to use mapper portal enter “name here” to tell the game that you can go to that place with a portal and you don’t have to run there every time, you’ll need to specify the level of the portal too.
Personally I set an alias for my portals that takes them for a container, wears them, enters them, removes them, and puts them back in the container all by tying one word, p.e.x pboot, so setting up mapper portal pboot saves quite some time.
Get the most potential out of your potential.
You may or may not have heard about it (if you don’t help potential should get you all the info you need) but potential lets you raise the max amount of stats you can train, daily blessing sometimes gives you some too. Try to buy some potential every once in a while because the price increases every time so daily blessing’s potential will be essentially worth more if you get it at a higher (free) cost.
Bags, bags, bags, and even more bags.
This one may seem obvious, you’ll get lot’s of stuff in Aardwolf, and keeping track of it all might be a little bit hard, so take a few bags and try to get some system going.
That way you’ll know where to look when you want to check all your shiny weapons out for example.
Never use your sweet earned quest points on Trivia Points at Questor.
He makes a very bad deal, you could be spending those quest points on cool new gear. Quest points are one of the more important currencies, so try to not spend them on trivia points.
Aliases and triggers, make your life easier and faster.
Aliases are used to set one word as a synonym for others, for example, pboot takes my old duffle bag out of my container, wears it, enters it, removes it, and puts it back in the container. (You can access your aliases by pressing control and 9 at the same time.)
Triggers are used to respond to a certain scenario with a set response, for example when I get the thirsty message I automatically take my canteen and drink from it. (You can access your triggers by pressing control and 8 at the same time.)
Aardbags make life lighter.
If you are struggling with the tremendous weight of all the stuff you are carrying around I recommend buying an aardbag, they level with you until you remort and then they stay at level 201.
The Aardbags are in fact so great that they can have negative weight counts, thé bag for hoarders so to speak.
Try to do a campaign every once in a while.
In the beginning, I was scared off by campaigns, my first one led me through a few mazes and frustrated me quite a bit. Campaigning is something that you’ll get better in as you go, just try your best and ask for help where necessary.
Try to do campaigns around level 0-100.
I tend to cp level using noexp to do a cp per level until I reach level 100, or I am bored, and then I just never put noexp on again while campaigning.
This is different for everyone, some people campaign more, other ones less.
You can choose the ranges yourself, but just know that higher-level campaigns will get harder.
Equipment level ranges.
The best level ranges for equipment are 1, 41, 71, 91, 131, 171, and 200.
It’s handy to have a set of all these levels on you to wear when you’re remorting.
Cexits, what they are, and how you use them.
You may or may not have heard of these yet but anything that is not your standard n,e,s,w, and still is a command you need to use to get from a specific room to another is called a cexit.
They are mostly shown as other on the exits of the room (picture)
If you type exits you can see what you need to type for this “special exit”
Now if you type, ‘mapper cexit’ and the name of it the mapper will behave like it’s just a normal exit, for example with search and destroy if you run to a mob behind a cexit you will enter the right words to go there automatically, this is a godsend basically. (for more command use double semi-colons)
That’s the end of my guide-like thingy, I hope you’ve liked it and see you around.

Things we wished we had know sooner
Don’t let Questor scam you with his Tp’s
To be quite frankly it’s a horrible deal, at least in comparison to all the shiny aard-equipment you could be getting. You’ll have enough TP as you go so no need to waste quest points on them.
Bags, bags, bags and even more bags!
In Aardwolf your inventory tends to get filled pretty quickly, it’s hard to find the name of that one cool sword you got in between all of your other stuff so I recommend having multiple bags to make your own sorting system.
Get the most potential out of your potential
You may or may not have heard about it (if you don’t help potential should get you all the info you need) but potential lets you raise the max amount of stats you can train, daily blessing sometimes gives you some too. Try to buy some potential every once in a while because the price increases every time so daily blessing’s potential will be essentially worth more if you get it at a higher (free) cost.
Fantastic portals and where to find them
Portals are quite great, they let you travel to a certain area without movement points or your runto time being used, they are especially handy for Global Quests.
Here’s a handy link to where you can find most of the portals:
Try to do campaigns at around 0-100 levels
This is different for everyone, some people campaign more, other ones less, but just know that at around level 100 campaigns tend to get harder.
What I mostly do is I cp with noexp on until a hundred (or until I’m bored) and then I just campaign without noexp on.

Guide to Tiering, Classchange, and Rebuilding your Stats!
Introduction
The process of superhero, remorting, tiering, classchange, and rebuilding stats can be a confusing subject that even the most seasoned Aardwolfians. In this guide I will attempt to explain some of these concepts a bit better and give some extra context as to what these are and then things to keep in mind as you are considering each.
This guide is also intended to help supplement the help files, but you may find a decent bit of overlap in what is there and here. Please also take time to read the following:
help superhero
help remort
help tier
help classchange
help rebuild
help instinct
help mastery
Super Hero! (and Hero)
Reaching Super Hero (level 201) is going to be the first thing you will eventually work towards as you begin progressing your character. This is when you essentially reach the max level of 200 and subsequently use the ‘superhero’ command to raise to level 201. There are not many reasons to sit at 200, other than to perhaps collect the gold/qp required to advance to superhero.
One of the first confusing things players run into is how SuperHero stats affect your character. On your first time reaching SuperHero, your stats will persist as you have trained them thus far. Any subsequent SuperHeros on future Remorts will from then on take all of the trains you have acquired (and practices) and to a ‘rebuild’ to return all of those as available trains and restore your previous stats you had the last time you were a SuperHero.
Remorting
Remorting is the first part of character progression you will begin looking at once you have gotten to your first SuperHero and wish to continue advancing your character. Remorting does not change your Primary Class (pclass) or Subclass, but rather gives you access to all non-pclass spells/skills that that class has. Your primary goal in Remorting early on is to help fill in the gaps where your primary class may be lacking or to provide you with extra utility.
I will leave Remort choices to another guide, however in regards to stats there are a few things to consider as you Remort. You should continue to allocate your stats as you level the same way as you would for your pclass, perhaps adding more in stats your normally wouldn’t train if your Remort classes utilize them however the goal will always be to level your Luck (influences trains you receive) and your primary stats.
The other important thing to consider as far as your SuperHero stats goes is your Strength/Dexterity and how they effect your carrying capacity and weight limit. While weight is less of an issue with AardBags, carrying capacity can be a limiting factor on how much you can acquire and keep across your Remorts. There is a formula that you can use to determine how much carrying capacity you should have once you Remort, or you may simply remove all your gear at SuperHero (to have your base stats) and see what that value is.
The formula for weight is as follows: 87 + strength + floor(dexterity / 2) + Pocket Wishes
This means if you had 150 Strength, 150 Dexterity and no wishes at SuperHero, you’d be able to carry 312 items. This scales much better with Strength investment as you can see by the formula, however given how much you may have acquired these stats are very important to consider before you Remort. You can easily drop keys/potions to relieve pressure however you do not want to have to give up gear you may want to continue to use as you level each Remort!
Tiering
Tiering is the next cycle of progression where you get to start all over again with the added benefit of being able to use gear 10xTier above your current level. This is also a great point to consider trying out a new Primary Class if you are interested in a change of game play.
Tiering will not reset your SuperHero stats in any way forcibly, but it will give you a free chance to do a ‘rebuild’ which we will go into later. The important part of this rebuild is that you can only use it before you do your next Remort, otherwise it will be gone and you will then have to continue to pay the 20% train/practice tax in order to Rebuild.
Class Change
Are you fed up with your primary class? Wish you could try out another playing style but can’t hold out through x more remorts to be able to Tier? Lucky for you, there is another option: classchange!
As a new player, you start off with a free classchange! Any subsequent classchanges will cost 5000qp, however this decreases 100qp a day until it is free again 50 days later.
Classchange essentially allows you to chose a new subclass (from any class) and race, much like the Tiering process does. This process however it will automatically rebuild your stats and this is where there is a bit of importance as to where you classchange. This rebuild is done against your current stats, and does NOT give you a free rebuild. This means if you wish to classchange, your ideal time to do so would be when you are a SuperHero. If you happen to class change at any other point, your stats will reset, but your old SuperHero stats will be restored and a normal rebuild will happen as it regularly does when Remorting.
I would NOT recommend using a classchange if all you wish to do is change your race. Instead, we will go over the Rebuild command next as a better option.
Rebuild (stats)
A rebuild is a command you can use in order to reset your stats back to default and return any trains you have spent on stats. This command also rebuilds your CURRENT statistics, meaning if you are not SuperHero, it will not affect your SuperHero stats in any way. Rebuild also only affects Stats, and excludes HP/Mana/Moves.
At any point, you can type ‘rebuild check’ to see what this command will consume. This command normally consumes 20% of your trains/practices provided you don’t have a free rebuild available (either from tiering while you are still on your first mort, or for 2000qp in the form of a wish). You will see a notice indicating if you have a free rebuild available when doing a rebuild check.
A rebuild can also be used as an opportunity to change your race, as you are required to include the race you want as part of the command. This is a better option to do earlier on, as it will cost you relatively less trains/practices the lower you are. If you are unhappy with your race, consider waiting until you Remort to try this out.
TLDR
- Your SuperHero Stats only affect you at non SuperHero in the form of Weight/Item Limit determined by your SH Str/Dex
- You receive a free rebuild after you tier that is only available until you remort
- Classchange is best done at SuperHero, otherwise you will not be able to redo your SuperHero stats
- Rebuild can be used early on in a mort as a cheapish way to change your race

Destisme’s Guide to Aardwolf Notes for Beginners
Destisme’s Guide for Taking Aardwolf Notes for Beginners
Taking Notes is a must for any mud type game because it helps keep you from forgetting important things at the wrong time. They can help you keep track of areas and what might be needed in them and go hand and hand with graffiti especially for those who keep forgetting that graffiti exists. There are different programs out there along with using mushclients mapper notes as well that will keep you full informed of everything. Below are a list of some of the things you can use to keep notes and below the list more detail about each option giving a wide variety of things that can be used to keep notes.
- Mushclients Mapper Notes
- Notepad
2a.Notepad++
- Inkpad Notepad
- Google Documents
- Google Sheets
- Pencil and Paper or what I like to call the Old School Method
- Mushclient Mapper Notes
Mushclient has their own Mapper Plugin that shows the map in squares and lines along with showing the exits along with so many ways to customize the colors to show the different types of rooms in an area. Right clicking on a square and clicking on edit note opens up a window that allows the posting of a note which is great to have small reminders that might be needed at the recall spot or for area rooms it would be helpful if a certain thing needs to be done to get to another section or to open a door or if the graffiti in the room just isn’t enough it can help simplify things.
Mapper Notes are just a great way to make small notes around different areas in rooms to help with making it easier to navigate the areas and enjoy the game.
With the Mapper in Blowtorch you have to be in the room you want to add a note.
Then type: .MapperEditNote <tekst>
Every time you enter the room it will be shown below the room description.
- Notepad
Notepad documents are the easiest best way to make notes and are the first step in the process I use to keep all everything nice and Tidy. There is no need for specific font or sizes or even format really when making quick notes so Notepad is the perfect tool for that. Programs Like Wordpad and Openoffice docs are good but are more resource hogs when the added functions are of little to no need.
When using Notepad its best to have one main Notepad Document to catch all of the quick notes you have or to copy and paste stuff that others have said in Aardwolf that you want to log and keep on hand. From there the notes can separate the different notes into their own section in Notepad documents or in one of the other programs mentioned down below.
Its best to use two tabs between each separate note segment that you have in the notepad document and make it easier to scroll down and with separate sections it makes it easier to scroll to a specific section to read the notes that have been wrote down.
2a. Notepad ++
I don’t have a separate number for this because it does a lot of what notepad does but I like the fact it allows multiple Tabs inside with multiple documents that you can easily arrange it better along with if you close out before saving it autosaves it for you which is even more helpful in my opinion. It makes it easier to take multiple note tabs and move information to organize them better without having multiple applications open. All in all its a better way to organize while still giving you the same quick and easy format as Notepad does.
- Inkpad Notepad
Inkpad Notepad is one of those programs that many don’t know about and works great for notes that you want to have on hand on a smartphone or tablet. The notes can be made on the Smartphone or tablet with an App or can be wrote on the website https://www.inkpadnotepad.com. The main Google account used on the smartphone or tablet is used to access the account on the website as well.
Inkpad notepad is great for little snippets of notes that can be gotten to quickly and easily with little to no hassle while playing.
- Google Documents
Google Documents keep everything in the cloud so they will be able to be accessed easily and quickly and can be updated just as quickly. Important notes that need to be kept long term are best kept in Google Documents to keep them safe from any problems you might have on the computer or smartphone.
Making notes in google documents are best if put into separate folders for ease of use depending on the topic and inside the notes can be organized into subsections of those topics themselves.
- Google Sheets
Google Sheets give you a db sheet with cells formulas and all that can be adjusted easily or through a formula. Though not used as much for note taking itself it is useful for temp notes for doing goals or when trying to get a certain item or for organizing items and equipment to look for better stat items. It works great with the Equipment Exporter Plugin that can be found in the plugins Section on the boot website.
- Pencil and Paper
Now we get to the Old school where back in the day we had to hand draw the maps and write everything there was to write about the rooms we needed to do or spells we had alias’s set up for or trigger points. All of those had to be written using pen and pencils because it was just an easy way to make sure you had everything. Now a days its good for areas that you have to do so many steps and you are just tired of going back and forth to website pages or notes. Post Its are great if you have to remember to do something at a certain level you can just put the post it on the monitor while notepad paper or mini notepads are great for mob information in areas that no other note taking method seem to work best with.
Conclusion
These are just a few of the vast methods of keeping notes but notes are essential to making the game easier and in my opinion more enjoyable.

Tracking Levels and Wish Protections in MUSHClient
In this article, we walk through creating some aliases and triggers that will allow you to track any wish protections (such as from web, marbu, dirt kick, etc.).
Tracking wish protection
If you’d like to see the payoff for your well-spent quest points, you can add the following alias to print your protection stats.
Copy the following XML, and then hit Ctrl-Shift-9 in MUSHClient to open the Aliases page. Click the Paste button and your new alias will be created:
<aliases>
<alias
match=”protectionstats”
enabled=”y”
send_to=”12″
sequence=”100″
>
<send>Note(GetVariable(‘n_levels’) .. ” levels recorded so far.”)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_dirt’) .. ” dirt attacks prevented.”)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_web’) .. ” web attacks prevented.”)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_marbu’) .. ” marbu attacks prevented.”)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_teleport’) .. ” teleports prevented.”)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_vorpal’) .. ” vorpals prevented.”)</send>
</alias>
</aliases>
Note: if you don’t have any of the above wishes, this would be a good opportunity to track the attacks that DO affect you! Then just remove the “prevented” word in the above alias, and your report will make sense.
Next, we’ll start filling in those variables.
Creating a level up trigger
Copy the following XML, and then hit Ctrl-Shift-8 in MUSHClient to open the Triggers page. Click Paste and your new trigger will be created:
<triggers>
<trigger
clipboard_arg=”1″
enabled=”y”
expand_variables=”y”
match=”You raise a level! You are now level *.”
send_to=”12″
sequence=”100″
>
<send>– Search for equipment
SetVariable(‘level’, %1)
SetVariable(‘tierlevel’, GetVariable(‘level’) + 10)
Execute(‘dinv search level ‘ .. GetVariable(‘tierlevel’))
Note(‘New level: ‘ .. GetVariable(‘level’) .. ‘. Searched for gear at level ‘ .. GetVariable(‘tierlevel’))
— Set n_levels
if GetVariable(‘n_levels’) == nil then
SetVariable(‘n_levels’, 0)
end
SetVariable(‘n_levels’, tonumber(GetVariable(‘n_levels’)) + 1)</send>
</trigger>
</triggers>
Now, I threw in a bonus here, which will search for any equipment at your new level, each time you level up. To ensure it works, create a variable called ‘tierlevel’ with your tier (0, 1, etc.). If you don’t have dinv installed, or don’t want to use this portion, simply remove the top section of the <send> block, and only keep the part below “Set n_levels”.
This trigger will start tracking the number of levels you have risen from the time you created the trigger.
Creating the protection triggers
Now you can create the following triggers (using the same Paste method above):
Dirt Kick
<triggers>
<trigger
custom_colour=”11″
enabled=”y”
group=”detections”
make_underline=”y”
match=”Unseen * dirt*”
send_to=”12″
sequence=”100″
>
<send>if GetVariable(‘n_dirt’) == nil then
SetVariable(‘n_dirt’, 0)
end
SetVariable(‘n_dirt’, tonumber(GetVariable(‘n_dirt’)) + 1)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_dirt’) .. ” dirt attacks avoided in ” .. GetVariable(‘n_levels’) .. ” levels!”)</send>
</trigger>
</triggers>
I no longer know the text that would appear if you actually got dirt kicked in your eyes, but I’m hoping someone will provide an example in case you don’t have the wish and want to track how many times you’ve had your eyes dirt-kicked.
Vorpal
If you don’t have the novorpal wish, you can track it here:
<triggers>
<trigger
custom_colour=”1″
enabled=”y”
group=”detections”
make_underline=”y”
match=”* DECAPITATES you!*”
regexp=”n”
send_to=”12″
sequence=”100″
>
<send>if GetVariable(‘n_vorpal’) == nil then
SetVariable(‘n_vorpal’, 0)
end
SetVariable(‘n_vorpal’, tonumber(GetVariable(‘n_vorpal’)) + 1)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_vorpal’) .. ” vorpal attacks in ” .. GetVariable(‘n_levels’) .. ” levels!”)</send>
</trigger>
</triggers>
If you do have the novorpal wish, track protections with this:
<triggers>
<trigger
custom_colour=”1″
enabled=”y”
group=”detections”
make_underline=”y”
match=”^Unseen (.*?) (head|decapitat)(.*?)$”
regexp=”y”
send_to=”12″
sequence=”100″
>
<send>if GetVariable(‘n_vorpal’) == nil then
SetVariable(‘n_vorpal’, 0)
end
SetVariable(‘n_vorpal’, tonumber(GetVariable(‘n_vorpal’)) + 1)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_vorpal’) .. ” vorpal attacks avoided in ” .. GetVariable(‘n_levels’) .. ” levels!”)</send>
</trigger>
</triggers>
Web
<triggers>
<trigger
custom_colour=”1″
enabled=”y”
group=”detections”
make_underline=”y”
match=”Unseen * web*”
send_to=”12″
sequence=”100″
>
<send>if GetVariable(‘n_web’) == nil then
SetVariable(‘n_web’, 0)
end
SetVariable(‘n_web’, tonumber(GetVariable(‘n_web’)) + 1)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_web’) .. ” web attacks in ” .. GetVariable(‘n_levels’) .. ” levels!”)</send>
</trigger>
</triggers>
Marbu
If you don’t have the nomarbu wish, you can track it here:
<triggers>
<trigger
custom_colour=”7″
enabled=”y”
group=”detections”
make_underline=”y”
match=”* poison * your eyes stream in agony*”
send_to=”12″
sequence=”100″
>
<send>if GetVariable(‘n_marbu’) == nil then
SetVariable(‘n_marbu’, 0)
end
SetVariable(‘n_marbu’, tonumber(GetVariable(‘n_marbu’)) + 1)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_marbu’) .. ” marbu attacks in ” .. GetVariable(‘n_levels’) .. ” levels!”)</send>
</trigger>
</triggers>
If you do have the nomarbu wish, track it this way:
<triggers>
<trigger
custom_colour=”7″
enabled=”y”
group=”detections”
make_underline=”y”
match=”Unseen* poison *”
send_to=”12″
sequence=”100″
>
<send>if GetVariable(‘n_marbu’) == nil then
SetVariable(‘n_marbu’, 0)
end
SetVariable(‘n_marbu’, tonumber(GetVariable(‘n_marbu’)) + 1)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_marbu’) .. ” marbu attacks in ” .. GetVariable(‘n_levels’) .. ” levels!”)</send>
</trigger>
</triggers>
Teleport
I’ve never encountered this one, but so far this is my guess for preventing a teleport:
<triggers>
<trigger
custom_colour=”1″
enabled=”y”
group=”detections”
make_underline=”y”
match=”Unseen * teleport*”
send_to=”12″
sequence=”100″
>
<send>if GetVariable(‘n_teleport’) == nil then
SetVariable(‘n_teleport’, 0)
end
SetVariable(‘n_teleport’, tonumber(GetVariable(‘n_teleport’)) + 1)
Note(GetVariable(‘n_teleport’) .. ” teleport attacks in ” .. GetVariable(‘n_levels’) .. ” levels!”)</send>
</trigger>
</triggers>
Summing up
Once you’ve created either the positive or negative detection triggers, you can run your “protectionstats” alias to see how many things have been either done to you or stopped from being done to you, compared with the number of levels. An example of my output is:
154 levels recorded so far.
130 dirt attacks prevented.
78 web attacks prevented.
44 marbu attacks.
0 teleports prevented.
0 vorpals prevented.
Due to this, I suspect my teleport and vorpal prevention triggers may be off, but I’ll correct it as necessary.
