NOTE: You can farm the hat. See if a clan member has one and you can
skip steps 2 – 8.
You can farm it by putting the hats in a bag and keep walking back
into the room where you get the hat.
The book is also farmable. You must farm the book not the invitation
because the invitation is owned.
At entrance gargoyles, say umari to get in (or kill them)
1. Find Layna and say I’ll find your hat.
2. Find Holly and say I’m hungry, to get iron frying pan.
3. Find Higari to trigger mprog to trade frying pan for tiny wand.
4. Find Higgle and it will trigger mprog to give you ‘yummy snack’ and tiny
wand is taken.
Kill either Hogan or Hathil for large iron key
5. Open locked door to “A Castle Cache” room and take paper
6. Give paper to Umari, he drops everything he’s wearing.
7. Wear all that Umari dropped.
8. Find Hathil, gives you hat.
9. Find Layna, give her hat back.
10. say yes to answer that you want to see mrrl’s lair.
11. give 20000 gold to layna (optional, but lets you understand why you need
to get food)
12. Find Holly and while still wearing all Umari’s gear and having yummy
snack in inventory, say I’m hungry to get spider spaghetti
12.1 go to ‘Old Bones’ west of Umari entrance and *nod at him, once trans’d find Hagami, once you enter his room he will give you Waffles.
13. return to layna and give 20000 gold to get transported to west of mrrl’s
lair
14. Go east from where you are transed
Kind of muddy here, I found that I did more damage when I had Umari’s gear
on… but then his wand is a changing flag weapon. He seemed to heal if I
wasn’t wearing some unknown amount of Umari’s equipment. It’s helpful to
have a lot of jades or inc scrolls. It wasn’t a trivial fight, though I
could word out. Also could maledict a little (rune, poison, disease).
15. Kill Mrrl
NOTE: The waffle puts Mrrl asleep, You get this randomly as you walk around wearing Umari’s cloths. Try around the cooks.
16. Go east from Mrrl and take book on floor.
17. After transed, return to Umari and give him book, he should drop golden
statue and you should also receive an Open Invitation to Umari’s Castle, which
when in inventory upon entrance to umari’s castle it transports you to his
study.

king and reinstate family Balmtor as nobility?
Congratulations! There are however a few secrets here that you may have
missed. Try feeding the duck, finding those that have been lost and forgotten
and giving drink to one who thirsts. Happy Hunting.
Should you find yourself above the village and wish you weren’t, go see Mad
Gerald. He can provide you with a quick exit to the following intriguing rooms
– banquet hall, theatrical chamber, infirmary and map room.

12. Target Shaun (corr. vector) and knock him down to 30%, he will say – Shaun exclaims ‘MERCY, I give in!’ and give him the Pardon. He will give you a Pint of Stout.
13. Target Benthis of Devon and once again wound him down to 30%, he will say – Benthis of Devon exclaims ‘MERCY, I give in!’ and give him the Pint of Stout, he will give you a Stick.
